Torq surfboard quality

Postby Surfbadger101 » Mon Jul 02, 2018 5:25 pm

Hi,

I'm planning to buy a new board online, and i wondered if anyone can tell me if Torq boards are decent quality. Having just bought a downing mini hune which i am having to return because of defects on the finish, and also the fact that when they removed their price sticker it also removed some of the surface on the bottom of the board! Once bitten, twice shy!

The specific board i am looking at is the Torq TET CS 8ft.

Any advice gratefully received.

Cheers,

Adam

I had the first and second generation 9' Torq. The fins that come with it doesn't always fit well. First one was kinda ok. Second one, I had to sand the fin down. But apart from that. They are brilliant! I hit and dropped it multiple times, easily repaired and water doesn't get in. Fairly light, compared to other similar boards.

You just bought it brand new recently from a surf shop ? Those boards were made way back in 2009. I had the Downing 6'3" Slippah and it was one of the best boards I ever owned.
