Camera mount for soft boards?

Can’t seem to find any screw through mounts for a soft board. Don’t think a glue on is a good idea on a foamy as it might rip the soft layer rightthe heck off. Anybody know any?

Forgot to mention the mount is NOTfor a GoPro, meaning its a regular screw type bottom shoe

Don’t know about ends that would support a normal camera mount.
First base could be a a through the board screw similar to the fins screws!
Understand the reluctance for glue jobs, would also suggest looking through specific bodyboard mountings.

I’d worry a little re head safety with any forward mounting with your young children on board.

As Jaffa said, depending on the type of softboard, you may be able to screw all the way through the board.

But I’m never convinced that go pro style footage is worth the effort

Yeah the gopro type thru the board big plastic screw seems the only option.
Have to find an adapter that goes into the gopro “round fork” type mount, with a screw on top though.

I wonder if you could modify the Gopro tripod mount to fit it up-side-down in the regular mount and put in a male-to-male bolt ?

Seriously, you take a mount like those in the photos provided by Waikiki and run screw trough the board from the bottom. Select a screw with a large flat head. Place a rubber washer between the screw head and board bottom and also between camera mount and board top.

but Billie, he still needs a bolt to run into the hole of his camera, like they do on a tri-pod. It's not for a Gopro.

BUT I found what he needs !!!

This adapter from Xshot will turn the Gopro mount into a regular camera mount.

Thanks again guys, good ideas. I’m really trying to avoid buying a gopro or even a knock-off gopro copy for now. The long srew idea sounds good but it miht have to be permanently attached and sealed to keep water out. Dont knw if I’d want to be removing it eveytime and have a hole in the nose of my board, or leaving it in and having a good sized knob on the nose either.

There is a sealant called Sponge-rez should be good to seal the holes. Works good for boogie boards

Glue does not work for sure. I lost a gopro camera although it survived several months before that.
It depends on the soft board. Wavestorm may survive only 5-6 sessions. As I used it for teaching in white water, it has not been a problem as I was always able to find it. With Doyle or other performance board the mount lasts longer. More than 20 sessions on a number of occasions.

The boogie board mount works just fine. Not that much water sucking. However, some home made solutions are unlikely to lose stability and start to rotate. I would rather recommend gopro mount and even gopro camera (or Chinese replica) as it has four stabilizers penetrating the board.
