San Diego board sizes/shapes

Hey all,

I live in San Diego and made the switch to sufing from mountain sports about 8 months ago. Been learning on a standard 7'6" but feel like Im ready to try some shorter equipment.

On the mountain I could easily demo all the new gear and figure out what worked best for my own style. Not quite as easy as an amateur surfer.

Does anyone know of surfshops in San Diego that rent various shaped/sized boards?

Ive read a few books on surfboard design and want to get a better feel for what best enhances my style.
