Fins for MUSHY waves??!!

Hi there, I am hoping to get some advice on fin set ups. Reading the descriptions of fin sets on websites, most of the ideal conditions mentioned are punchy or steep or long walling waves. I am looking for a set-up to maximize performance in small or mushy surf.

I am 5’11 and mostly surfing a 5’8 swallow tail when it’s shitty. Do any fins come to mind? How would the FCS V2 (aka K2.1) go? Or the FCS II Reactors? I am currently using the Performers however they don’t feel quite right when it’s under 2ft.

Unfortunately living out of the US without the luxury of Finatic and of testing them beforehand.
Thanks for the help

How did your January February Indo gap year surf trip go?
Did that jump your skills up enough to ride a small board in mush?
It is an interesting question based around mush surf as most people are looking at volume ( going fishy or lengthy)
You are asking a lot of your skills to perform on an undersized board in mush without that float and ability to driv off your rails in rapid fire transitions.
You were beginner intermediate?? when you last posted, so there is quite a lot to look at that might help! :D

Questions:
1) you ride a 5'8" swallow when it's "shitty" , so what is you go to board when it's not "shitty" ?
2) the Performers "don't feel quite right" , could you elaborate on that. No drive, Tracks, Slides out or Catches an edge ?

The K2.1's are one of my favorite fins to recommend to my customers looking to upgrade. I also recently bought the Reactors. But want to hear back from you, before I comment on that fin.
