I think the difference in height ( or actually the depth ) of a Thrusters versus Twins/stabi won't matter, UNLESS you're going straight over their heads. Most likely when you run over someone, the kook is lying side ways on their board. If they're good enough to duck dive, they're good enough to know where to be to stay out of your way.

On small waves, the added volume and increased forward turn in point of the Twins/stabi, will aid in quick spurts of speed and maneuverability to avoid and go around those buoys. In big waves, you don't need as much "fin". In small waves sometimes it's good to have something to push off of.

If those were the fins mean't for the board as Webber wanted it, it's gonna be good.

By the way, speaking of Shish Kebbabing, What do you think these FCS Carbon G-CRV fins will do when it hits a newbie ?

Crowded lineups with those Webber fins had me thinking about manatees and the propeller cuts they get on their backs in Florida.....been going to less populated breaks lately so can put my julienne fears aside.

I've always wanted these FCS C-drive fins. But i was always worried about getting some leash sling back and these coming back at you.

I really liked the C drives but with the bottom contours of my board I found the FCS Bonzer fins even better.
The C drives allowed fairly easy and good top turns and higher lines on steep wave faces.
Full report in my fin primer. Along with some futures vector reports for my boards with futures set up.

I am surprised you worry about leash rebound

Good point you got there because I usually don't wear a leash ........ in Hawaii. Here in Japan, it's virtually the law, where at most beaches leashes are required.
