NSP or similar board: advice for intermediate surfer?

I'm considering buying a board and storing it with a friend on O'ahu because shipping my board every time I go is too expensive. I know that the board is likely to be used by another (friend's new-surfing wife) when I'm not there. So I'm seeking a durable, economical, board that can be used on small and larger waves. I have always had foam/fiberglassed boards, but I think an epoxy is the way to go for my purposes, as I only get to O'ahu 1-2 x per year. Given all that, what would you recommend? I'm considering a NSP.

don't resort to an nsp or similar, there are plenty of shapers that can do epoxy and you just need to find one. There's lots of them around, try browsing
www.swaylocks.com and you're likley to find someone who can make what you need, or look up shapers on oahu to make you something. But you're right, epoxy is the way to go.

Thanks for turning me on to swaylocks. Seems like a good learning resource about the technology. I'll be doing some reading.
