Cracks around plugs on top deck of surfboard

Hi all, I have a question.
About a month ago I had a new board shaped in Bali from an Australian shaper who lives and shapes here. I've surfed it about 15 times in 4-6 ft waves. The board is a quad fin fish tail. The glassing is 4 4 and 6 oz. Few days ago I noticed cracks on the top deck of the board around the front (outer) plugs. There are also depressions all over the tail around the plugs. I don't think I surfed it as much as to show such damage.

The film you see on the plugs is leftover glue from the FCS sticker.


You can feel the cracks on this photo with your fingernail.


Has anybody had similar problems? Should I do something about it? Do you think it will be a problem in the future?
I've already spoken to the shaper who thinks it's normal. He suggested to add another layer of fiberglass over the plugs if I wanted to. Do you think it would solve the problem or should I be worried about the future?

Depending on the foam in the blank, heavy back foot work could cause this, but if the the FCS stickers were covering the plugs ( quite often a cheap cover up of a sand through).

A patch of reinforcing glass over the plugs will help and a tail pad will ease heel strike BUT, you won't see if the plugs are cracking out.

I suspect the board won't be noted for its endurance?
Take the fix surf the board to death!
