I have a decal. Sharkcamo decals are pretty popular in the central coast area. It looks good on the board and makes you blend in with the natural ocean. Why not?!

If you buying it because you think it looks cool go for...If you are buying it believing a decal will stop a hungry Noah ...um well...I have my doubts..
But then again I have a friend with a tattoo of a sea horse on his shoulder and he is yet to be attacked by one of those so perhaps there is some thruth to the theory.

Shark camo decals are showing up a lot more here on the Central California coast. I've seen them on longboards, shortboards, bodyboards, kneeboards and kayaks.
Sharkcamo has its basis in good, sound science concerning the ways in which sharks respond to optical "clues" as to what "is" and what is "not" perceived as a potential food source for them. A lot of it having to do with light vs. dark contrasting patterns that Sharkcamo imitates.
I've talked quite a bit to the main guy at Sharkcamo.com and am convinced enough to now be using it on all my boards.

Not to doubt you dude, but aren't we taught sharks hunt mostly by smell and electro pulse detection?

^ yeah, for the most part the splashing and paddling are what attract the attention in the first place. but really, your odds of being attacked by a shark are so small that what's the point? however, that dude is making more money than i am, so whatever. i just think it's kind of dumb

If you wear board shorts, cut a small hole in the back and instead of paddling, propel yourself forwards by farting. The bubbling noise confuses the shark and eases any anxiety you may experience
Hope this helps.
