Hi there,

Unfortuntely the cuffs of my wetsuit have frayed - just wondered if anyone had any tips on how to repair them?
it's not the neoprene itself, just the external material - hopefully photo shows it!

The frayed fabric isnt an issue but eventually you will start wearing away the neoprene itself.

I would tidy it up - cut away all of the frayed parts - then slapping a neoprene patch over the area (you can get repair kits eg https://www.mcnett.com/m-essentials/iron-mend#16110 or just find some old neoprene from an abandoned suit etc). Glue it on with the right glue. It might stick out a bit but its going to protect the suit and offer extra protection against whatever you are doing that is causing the fraying.

Doesnt matter what it looks like, just as long as it works.

ok have now embarked upon general repairs and mending using a c-skins/black witch repair kit. however, unfortunately the neoprene patches included in the kit are nowhere near big enough for patching the sleeve/cuff - anyone got any idea where i could a patch of neoprene at least 20cm long and 10cm wide? preferably online and not too expensive!

Ebay. I've recently purchased the following for my kid's costume making. Cheaper than Amazon but maybe too big for what you need???
