Hello,
As ye may know I have a wetsuit that is a bit loose for me. Could i wear a good fitting shortie wetsuit under it to fill the gaps and keep me warmer? I don't know if I should have just posted this in the wetsuit thread and if so sorry.

Probably, but I suspect that you'll be monumentally uncomfortable, and it will be difficult and exhausting to move properly.

Agree with Lebowski.

I think your best bet is to try and sell it and get a proper fitting suit. It's more than just a "bit loose" if you're even considering wearing another suit under it. Hard choice. With your age you should fill in a bit, but that's not a guarantee. Try out the shorty and see how it goes, you really have nothing to lose at this point(just don't rush putting it on or off, so you don't risk damaging the suit).

The thing that is niggling me is that how much i should sell it for, i bought it new 99 euro. Maybe that's why it doesn't fit well. Women's size uk8 c skins fits me then of course but I am a guy. The womens uk6 cskins would definitely fit. But that wetsuit I borrowed is future fit so maybe thats why it fits better than compared to the classic fit of the surflite. I'm about to rip my hair out at this stage.

No I bought a youth wetsuit which I think k is unisex. But before I know someone who let me borrow her wetsuit and it was a Cskins Angel wetsuit and it fit perfectly an fit was made for 5 ft 4 to 6 and then a wetsuit made for my height doesn't fit. And they btkh are C skins. I just don't understand.

not gonna work too well, you will have gaps where water will pool.

Well the wetsuit in question is size 2xl so I thought u til I grow onto it should I wear the shorty under it. The size xl was a small bit too small.

If you have a 'strange' body shape - which apparently I do according to wetsuit manufacturers - your best bet is to buy a more expensive suit that has a lot of flexibility. A lot of these suits fit quite slim people but are so flexible that they are also comfortable for a larger person. In other words, you can buy (say) an xl jnr suit and it will stretch to fit someone who is somewhere between xl and 2xl.

Front zips - love or hate them - have more flexibility than back zips, so can also be useful if you are having problems finding a good fit.

Not that it solves your current problem, just as something to keep in mind for the future. You don't need to get the absolute top of the line, but something mid range from a good company. Trouble is, these are still pretty expensive.

That said, I still have problems - suits that fit my height seem to believe my belly should be at least another 6 inches bigger, and suits that fit my belly seem to think my shoulders should be 4 inches smaller. So I either have gaps around the waist or too tight shoulders or too short a suit; fortunately the water is never incredibly cold so a gap around the waist is bearable (too tight shoulders and you get problems and too short a suit, well, that creates major problems)

I think you might be focusing on minutiae a little bit. Okay, your suit might be a little too loose. Is it so loose that you're freezing your A$$ off in the water? Do you have to stop surfing because you're shivering out in the lineup? If you are, then take steps to get comfortable (buy a new wetsuit or wear another layer). If you're not freezing and uncomfortable with your loose wetsuit, then concentrate on surfing.

I might as well just sell the suit I'd say. But then that's growing room gone but the thing is if I will grow into the wetsuit by winter. Hardly but I don't ha e a clue about growth. I tried on the shorty under the wetsuit and it makes the chest and back area fit like a glove but the problem is that my shoulders got a bit sore and I can imagine that is from the shortie being too small or something. I can't afford a chest zip unfortunately. I just dont know what to do.

Buy a 1mm or 1.5mm top, the cheapest one you can find. Wear it underneath. You can find them easily for $50 odd but no doubt cheaper at Walmart etc (where are you?)

I have a titanium 1mm rash vest really boost the warmth factor under a wetsuit and great in its own right on not so chilly days :D .

Lots of surfing will bulk up the chest and arm muscle filling the wetsuit out unless you still have the girls one then the pectoral muscles will need to fill the mammary curves
Even if you are short you will bulk up, Tom Carroll is short but well muscled.

The shortie worked wonders under the wetsuit. It was flexible enough. I have a youth wetsuit for both sexes. My wrists are very thin. Is there anything i can do to perk up my chest? And also my leg muscles especially my calves. I only hve about 25 euro the spend and I live in ireland. If I buy gloves with a Velcro strap on it could I put it over the wrists the tighten them and stop water flushing in. Would a hood help as well?
