Hey, I'm looking for reef boots and I remembered I saw these Rip Curl pocket reef boots in a shop once.

Question is, are they any good?
Are they thick enough to protect you but also small enough to fit in your boardies? I know it says so in the ads, but would be interesting to get some hands on info from someone who's actually used them.

Reef rips holes in the bottoms of my heavy duty booties....don't see how the pocket ones would be worth much around here.

Just saw this. There is a photo series at the provided link demonstrating how to use this product. I wouldn't execute step 6 here in Santa Barbara. This is the step in which the vendor suggests placing the product into your pockets. In Santa Barbara, you frequently get (naturally-occurring) tar and crude oil on booties when walking across the beach and in the shallow surf.
