Hello.

First up, Ive never fixed my own board before.

I just bought a hypto, 2 small dings. The guy has kind of repaired it with epoxy. The foam is not discolored or soft. But there is a hairline crack that isnt filled and looks like it might eventually let water in. Since I just bought it i want to get it right before I ride.

Do you think he has done a good enough job and i shouldn't touch it? If it needs some work what do you recommend? Do I take he work out and start again or just sand his and lay my repair over his.

Cheers.

I think if you want it cosmetic and don't want to make it worse looking then get a pro to repair it. For a first time repair you would need to sand it down and glass over the cracked glass. It may be a bit much but then if money is the deciding factor then go for it. If I were fixing it I would fill the defect and glass over that whole area.
