The right wetsuit for me?

Postby BelgianSurfer » Mon Nov 02, 2015 10:53 am

Hey guys,

First of, thanks for having me, this is my first post!

I started surfing about a year ago and really gotten the virus!!

Right now winter's coming in Belgium and so does the actual surfing season round here. (still need to be lucky to get some waves tho)

Anyway, the only wetsuit i got right now is an o'neill 4/3 so i'm looking for something warmer.

Water temperatures can get as low as 5 degrees celsius from january till march.

I already got a neoprene cap, boots and gloves. I am on a budget.

Does THIS look like a proper wetsuit ? https://icaruskitesurfshop.be/store/onl ... er-53-ftm/

Thanks in advance!!!

greets

I wore a 4/3 wetsuit with no boots, gloves and cap at 5 degree water. I got in and out within 30 mins. Next day I went back wearing 2 wetsuits 4/3 and 3/2. Much warmer but I couldn't paddle at all with 2 wetsuit. So yeah I'm pretty sure that one will be fine.

It looks good but also check out the billabong foil range. I have a 5/4/3 from a season or two back and it's perfect all the way down to those temps but you might want a 5/4. They're remarkably good value for money and I have absolutely no complaints with mine. Think mine was €150 from wetsuit outlet . co. uk
