Railsaver broke.

Postby M4nathan » Mon Sep 07, 2015 9:03 pm

Hey guys! First post here, and sadly a not so fun one. I'm new to surfing this summer and just had my railsaver break this morning. Basically I was wondering if you can purchase a new railsaver and attach it to my leash that still looks fine. Basically the swivel that attached to the railsaver are pulled apart. Do I need a full new leash?

Just guessing, but if your rail saver is in that kind of state, the rest of the leash must be just behind....splurge and get a new leash or be extra prepared to showcase your swimming ability.

the swivel is just about the most important part of the leash, I'm not sure how you intent to replace it even if you could get a spare part. I guess you could tie it on but that could create issues with twisting etc.

Leashes aren't very expensive and are pretty important unless, as Big H says, you really prefer swimming over surfing and dont mind having people yell at you as your unrestrained board flies through the line up. Just buy a new leash

Did it save your rail?
