Just looking at it from the picture I am going to guess they did 2 seperate resin pours and overlapped the glass
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.

looks to me like a resin-tinted blank, then glassed. The cut lap line looks darker just because theres two layer of glass that isn't perfectly clear.

a simpler way to do it is to spray paint the foam then glass over it. Of course you need to use compatible products like tint. I used to know a girl who did elaborate pictures on boards prior to glassing. But I am sure it isn't my imagination and there is a dark line there an inch or so above the border of the blue which represents ???? And the edge of the color isn't a straight line because of ???? Yeah but I think you are right. I looked with magnification and it seems like that area is too close to the edge of the white to represent a glass overlap and there is no corresponding line in the white area.

I sent the photo to my shaper/glasser friend. He confirmed it's a resin-stained blank. They call it a "dipped" blank.

Do you think that I could only lay half of the board with fiber glass and mask off the rest. Then color it with pigmented resin . Then take down the edge with a razor blade and then put fiber glass on the other half, except this time I would use clear non pigmented resin. Then shave down the edge so it alines with the other colored half? Then I would just do the rest of the board like a normal board. And if you are confused, the whole board would be fiber glassed and the two separate halfs would be touching and alined.

If you do that you will have to overlap the fiberglass to make it strong enough which will make it heavier. If you just cut the fiberglass between the colors there will be a weak spot with no fiberglass and it will break in two immediately when you use it. When making a normal board they will cut the deckpatch right along the edge of the bottom layer but this is overlayed by another layer of cloth so there is no gap and the weak spot is along the length. Overlaping the glass will make it a different color as it did to this board on the overlap around the rails. I wouldn't advise it

Question : How many boards have you glassed previously ?

It seems your making things a lot harder than it needs to be.

Ok thanks for the advice. I think I am just going to do a solid color because dipping the board is going to cause extra weight that I don't need. :D
Thanks again.
