Hi I was just wondering if any one could tell me if changing the middle fin (FCS) to a larger one on my 8'7" board will help. I'm only just getting to the standing up stage. thanks

Help in what sense?
It'll change things but not necessarily help! Fin set up makes a huge difference - but is an inexact science!
A bigger fin in the back of your board will slow down the turns, but may make things a bit less wobbly. If you get to the point of turning onto the face of the wave, it should keep you there a bit more easily, but then require much more effort to turn in/out of the wave.
Also, the fin set up may make catching waves different - strange but true. Swapping the fins on my 7'4 makes the difference between catching waves like a shortboard or like a mini-mal...
Best advice - give it a go. I doubt it will make much difference to you at this point, but try and find out!
