Hello from Italy
Im kinda new to surfing (just 10 times in the water with my 7'9'' bic,i can standup but turning for me it's quite impossible, what a looser!), but now i would like to "start" with a real board.
I've heard that Flyer in Tuflite (6'4'') paddles and floats like a 7 board but still "aggressive" like a 6'4'' , is it the same thing with EPOXY/XTR technology ?
Im asking this because i would like to buy a board and i don't know what to choose from...

A -TUFLITE- Flyer 6'4'' with 19 1/2 width and 2 1/2 (that costs me 600$)
Some Epoxy/XTR (kinda same as flyer)
Or a normal shaped resin board (more "fish" oriented) (about 500$)

Here the waves are fast and "confused" mostly and they are from 50cm to 2mt (mosty 1 meter anyways)
Could you help me ?

I am 178 pounds and 5'58 "tall" eheh

Thank you in advance!

I don't like tufflites, but it should be ok for someone like you. Epoxy in general is rated badly, but comming from a bic you shoudn't feel anything differnt, and if you have only surfed enough to count all your sessions then epoxy isn't going to kill you.

If you got the dough, go for it. And if you end up not liking it, their like bics and stuff and keep a good resale value in good conditon.
