fin setup

Postby gar » Wed Jan 12, 2005 6:12 pm

hi i just bought my first board, a 7 2 nsp. just screwed in the fins but they are about a mm loose ( i can rock them forward to back about a millimetre.) the screws are definitely all the way to the bottom of the holes in the fins themselves so i guess shorter screws might help.

i guess what im asking is whether this looseness will affect my surfing? should i fix it?

Ya, it will have some effect on your surfing, I dont know how much of a difference, and whether or not oyu can tell... but I would definitly go to a local shop and have them take a look.

got some shorter screws. those countersunk ones are hard to find! problem solved. although i hope the fact thaat they arent all the way in the hole doesnt make them come loose
