Questions about a shortboard that I bought

Before doing research, I bought a shortboard a few months ago. I quickly realized that I wasn't going to be able to learn how to ride it easily and bought an 8 foot all purpose board which I have been enjoying thoroughly.
I was planning on keeping the shortboard for when I might be ready to use it, but it has some damage and I'm really not sure how severe it is. I am going to post a few pics and describe it.
The board is a 5'10" Rascal II, made by proctor. I am 165-170 lbs, 5'11".
It has 2 damage spots on the rails, where the outer fiberglass looks cracked but is still intact. It also has a stress line in the middle of the board, that goes across maybe 60% of the bottom. There are no stress lines on the top, and in the picture there are some scratches that look a little like a stress line but are not. It also has a few dings on the bottom (not pictured) that I just put a very thin coat of suncure on to keep it watertight (I wasn't really sure how effective this would be, I just wanted to get out and try the board, I also put a thin coat of suncure on the dinged rails). The one fin box was reglassed but it looks like a professionally done repair.
It did come with some perfect condition FCS K 2.1 Thruster fins. I paid $230, and like I said I didn't do my research so I really don't know whether I got an ok deal or I got ripped off. I basically saw a youtube video of a guy shredding in malibu on a proctor rascal and saw one close by and just went for it, lol. Oh and it did come with a nice dakine traction pad installed.
What do you guys think about this board and the damage it has? I'm well aware that I won't be riding it for a little, but I am improving quickly on my 8ft board and look forward to being able to shortboard someday...and I was hoping to hear this board has a decent amount of life left in it, but that stress line kinda worries me.
