Hey guys

I'm a fairly big guy who is comfortable on bigger boards. I'm 230 lbs and just fixed up my short board 7'6"x22"x3" fish, with a thruster configuration. I originally had the fcs H2 on the board but they got trashed in an unfortunate mishap. I really liked them but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? I surf the gulf coast of Florida and travel over east as well. I usually surf a longboard, but want to work my way back onto my shortie. So I guess I'd consider myself a beginner. I'd like to find something that is versatile. Thanks!

Given your size and level, you may want to stay with a fairly large fin - if not the H2 then maybe something like the MF1? Its quite large (larger than the H2) and probably a bit harder to turn.

I have the MF fins, to be honest mostly because they were the only large fins in the shop after I broke one of mine, but they work pretty well (on a 7ft4 'minimal' shape). I'm only about 185lb but didnt want to step down to a smaller fin for the moment. They dont suit the aesthetics of my board, unfortunately. ...

Or on a fish you could go something a bit different like the MR-TFX PC Rainbow - this is a twin fin set up with a small 'knubster' centre fin. It was marketed to me as having the same total area (across the three fins) as a normal thruster, by having two extra large outside fins. But I havent surfed them.
