Can anyone tell me anything about this board?...

Hello everyone!

I'm looking into getting a board and have found this on eBay.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SURFBOARD-SUR ... 0374749%26

A google search reveals nothing about the brand except that it's a guy who shapes in Cornwall. Does anyone have any experience of the make? Also, I'm a beginner - I thought this would be a reasonable starting place - not as easy as a mini mal but not too hard, I don't mind having to work at it a bit. Does that sound ok? Lastly, is this guy's asking price of around £150 reasonable?

Any advice will be very gratefully recieved!

Jess

Jess the information that would help us help you with boards selection is your height weight and age, if you are young person of light weight and not too tall this board may well be a good one.
Other factors may make it a dog for you, helpful too is where you plan to surf as some spot various types of board may not suit!

Ok, thanks! I'm a 23 year old 5"5 female, at my heaviest I get to around 9.5 stone but usually aim to be at 9 stone. I plan to surf in South Wales (Newgale, Freshwater West, Manorbier etc) most of the time, and seeing as I'm a beginner I suppose it would be helpful if the board wasn't too difficult in smaller surf... I'm tempted to go for it if that all seems reasonable to you. Do you think the price is about right? Thanks in advance for your help! :)

Odd that google doesn't show up much about Surfers Paradise in Newquay (I just tried too) - its a famous old shop that's been there years. Wonder whether its still there?

But ignoring that, yes, any custom board from there will be fine, as long as the condition is okay. £150 seems a very good deal too.

As for the size of the board, a little smaller than ideal maybe, but not too much.

Ok brilliant! I think I'll go for it - the size is a little small but I'm up for a challenge and I need it to fit in my Clio!! :p Thanks for all your help!
