Salt on a broad bag

Hi,
Can any one help. We have gone to put the broads away for the winter and the zip as stuck with salt, How can we get this off?

Puh! a fair weather surfer huh! why put them away, some of the best surf is over the winter!

Best way is to keep it dry and just work it out of the zip but if you can move it atall (even with plyers) then just wet it. The Salt crystals will disolve but when it drys again you will have the same problem, then you need to work it out of it again.

yeah fair weather surfer,
i just drive my 13yrs old son around, time he get home from school it dark. i just but cooking oil on it
no doubt it will be a new one from santa

I've never seen a broad bag before. I can think of afew broads I'd like to bag however :-)
*smirk*

Any silicone spray or CRC works just fine. I have a mate who rubs a bar of soap along the open zip every couple of months also.

You can also use bees wax to rub on zip - or any wax probs?

Just pour boiling water over the zip and then pull it down. Works every time
