Hi again all :)

" well ive been down to Saunton twice since the temperature dropped to an ass freezing , toe crunching temperature ! .... and now even i have to accept ......

" the shortie aint cutting it now " ..... im not sure if im brave or just damn stoopid .. ( " yes, im going with the latter too !" ) ....soooo its time for me to sort a winter wetty !

Any ideas guys ? .... my ideal spec' would be : Not too thick material , as i can take a fair bit of cold before i get uncomftable and i'd sooner have free'er movement .. so not too thick but bloody good quality so it does its job well ! .
Also i need some of those booty/socky thangs as i've got bad circulation and my feet freeze up real bad , real quick ...so any ideas on that would be helpfull . I'm sure theres not too much innit for the socky things but just wanted to check with you guys :D

" Thanks all " .... cheeZee

I got an O'neill Psycho2 and its really warm and super flexi , best suit I've ever worn and its into its second winter with no wearing out issues.

Several mates have Xcell Infinitys and they swear by em.

Have also heard that Snuggs are worth a go.

Last suit was TWO Rip Curl Ultimates ! It kept leaking so bad through the seams, returned it then got a replacement free and then same happened to that and they wouldn't give me another as it was two years since I'd bought the original so never getting one of them again - even tho new ones supposed to be better.

Have heard C-skins are poo.

best thing to do is go and try them on no suit fits the same and you want one with the tightest fit posable

I agree Phil, each wetsuit brand has a slightly different fit and you need to get the best fit you can find. If you go for a mainstream brand they are all good quality.
That's what makes the snugg suits great - custom made to your measurements - you are not going to get a better fit than that.

What about one of them Ripcurl fireskins?
nice freedom of movement, and its like living in an oven thanks to the slickskin and elastomat

only down side that ive heard about snugs is there tight around the sholders making it harder to padle in them

i have a rip curl and allthough it is lovely and warm stayed in for 3 1/2 hours today and was still warm when i got out is that they have his bat wing that stops water geting in through the zip but it creates a pocket in the back of the suit that take about 3 days to try out properly so i know its gonna start rotting the seams around that area

just hope i can get a few years out of it first before it goes

everysingle one of the tiki wetsuits i tried on had no shoulders. was so annoying, tiny changing room, material curtain which i kept falling through partially clothed. no lightbulb!?! boiling hot. that was not fun. try on wetsuits on a cold, windy day.

Nah - it's the opposite Phil - they have this Ultra Stretch stuff on the shoulders now. My 5mm Silvabak paddles like I am in my 3mm spring suit.

I think the Snugg suits from several years back may have felt hard to paddle. Maybe a combination of being tailored and therefore a very "snugg" fit and also thick neoprene.

Not a worry now though
