Hi All,

I have been looking at buying an Indo board. Are they any good and what area is it they are designed to improve? Just balance or turning etc?

Any feedback much appreciated before i shell out on one.

Most of the balance boards out there help with muscle memory, and improve your balance. They help with your over all balance which includes turning and learning to keep your center of balance when you are put in different positions. I have used a balance board for years and I think you will be happy if you are disciplined enough to use it frequently.

I did it one on my own...

a plywood board about 80cm x 50cm x h1.5cm, a polyethylene pipe (about 90mm diameter), 3 grip straps on the pipe and your indoboard magically appears :D

i spent less than 40€ :woot:

Cheers SP. Read that yesterday and going to get on it next weekend. What I wanted to know was what's the best grip to use around the tube? Female velcro?

When you are going back and forth on a balance board and start to lose your balance your body learns to react without you even having to think about it. This improves your balance because your body learns to correct when you start to lose your balance on a drop or even while turning or even just riding a wave. This helps because of the repeated use of a balance board you have developed your balance and your body now knows how to react when you start to lose your balance through muscle memory and having been in that same situation numerous times before. Hope all that makes sense.

I used 3 stripes from a skateboard grip and they worked pretty good
