Shaper fins - STF-X twins

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of Shaper fins? I have an opportunity to buy a set of STF-X twins for my fish for pretty cheap, but I had never really heard of them until now.

They are the laminated glassfibre type fins rather than the moulded resin type they will be replacing, so I hope for an improvement in performance.

Thanks,

Chris

Google their site and see what you think.
By all reports they are supposed to be OK.

I googled the site and read through, and have decided to take a punt and buy them. Hopefully they'll go well.

Thanks for your reply.

Haha thanks, they should be arriving later this week, coinciding with a big swell, so hopefully a good opportunity to test them.

All good. They are a fair bit stiffer than the ones they replaced, and they seem to give good hold and drive out of turns. I'm still testing them really but I've already managed to take a little chunk out of one on a rock.

Quality wise, they're just as good as anything else out there I'd say.

Here's a pic against one of my thruster fins.
