Surfing Waves

I live in Florida. This will be my first winter of surfing and I don't know how thick my wetsuit should be. I do get cold real easy so should I get a 4/3 or a 3/2? I have very little body fat. Thanks.

in florida...all u need is a 3/2. u dont need a 4/3 until you get north of southern north carolina

i surf in new jersey as well as in rhode island. its gona be my first winter as well, however i doubt i will be surfing all winter long. ill prob go til about thanksgiving and start again in march or april. id like to buy a suit but am also unsure how thick i should buy. ive found a nice 3/2 with taped seams for a good price, but should i keep looking for a 4/3?

i've got the same predicament but i live in orange county, ca.
will i be ok with my full 3/2 u think? id go and test it out myself but id rather not prefer hypothermia lol. any help would be greatly appreciated.

around high 50's to around 50 it is a good idea for a 4/3 boots and gloves. 58-65 3/2 will do ya, maybe with some 3mil boots. anything colder than 48-50 i think you'd prob be more comfortable in a 5mm with a hood boots and gloves - so theres my two cents.

Up here in Wa I use a 4/3 with booties, so if you're more south I'm guessing you'd only need a 3/2. Near S. Car. maybe a 3/2 with booties. And it also depends if you can tolerate some cold water coming into the wetsuit from time to time.

Myfoothurts - I have surfed from Ventura down to San Diego over Dec/Jan before and had a very leaky 3/2 convertable without the arms on at first which was too cold. I ended up buying a 2mm vest to wear underneath and boots and put the arms on my suit. But if you had a sealed 3/2 with boots I reckon that would be warm enough, especially if you don't sit around out back too much.
