Random question.
Anyone know a retailer that sells Rusty boards near the Bristol area... or in the surf areas bristol surfers go to?
Thanks

Hi Threeo,
I don't know of any near Bristol, but there is cracking surf shop in Braunton near Saunton sands(jsut south of Croyde) called Suredout. they are official Rusty retailers and have a good stock. If they don't have what you are after, then they can order some in for you. They are really helpful and full of good knowledge and experience. Both me and my girlfriend have bought our boards from there.
Hope this helps.

Hey hey TeeJay
Got on well. I sussed out where they are. I'm not coming over there til August now so I'll get on it when I get there.
Although I was speaking to CHannel Islands about the best board for me and I think I've changed my mind about the rusty. OR I might just buy two

.
I think the same store sells Al Merrick too, so all is sweet.
Getting any waves lately?

Ah brilliant, yeah I read my post yesterday again and realised that I spelt the name wrong, they stock various boards in there. But the best thing to do is give them a call they are really helpful in there. I haven't caught any waves for some time, about 2 months as i got a new job and moved etc. But im off on thursday, and I cant bloody wait. I will pop into the shop and see what they have in stock too. I would go for buying two boards. Which ones are you looking at?

Yeah, I figured it out with Mr. Google's help. That's the spirit! Hope you get some waves. I'll definitely have a look in person when I suss out the area. It seems there's many shops and some surf culture around that area. Looking forward to exploring it!
I'm looking at a 6'1" AM Fred rubble and a 5'11" Rusty magic thumb. But we'll see. I might go the Rubble and just buy some trash secondhand thing for a groveler.

Haha, brillaiant. Yeah im hoping to get ome good waves too, although its looking like its going to be messy with strong onshore winds and gusts of 40mph

hopefully it will die down though. Yeah there are many shops in the area quite a few small independant shops as well as some well known branded ones. It can easily take you a day just to have alook around them all.
Nice choice of boards, no doubt you'll end up getting a different groveller though as i had a few ideas of what boards i wanted to buy when i went into the shop and ended up getting something completely different but fun.
Where are you at the moment then?? From your other posts it seems liek your getting the full UK surfing gear

Cool. Sounds like a fun day of exploring surf shops. I'm in Australia still. It's a HR nightmare at the moment getting affairs in order. But I should be in the uk for the tail end of your "summer".
I've got an absolute 'go to' board here as a groveller and I think that the waves here will be similar to that of the uk. small, mushy, but then some occasional thumper days. I'm in 2 minds as to take my groveller with me. But im keen to try as many different boards as my $$ allows. Yeah I'm definitely getting the full UK wetsuit gear...ish. I dont think I'll surf in deep winter, but we'll see. Winter here is bad enough. I know I definitely wont be able to surf in these freakin' 5/4 wetsuits with boots and gloves. I can do boots, could do gloves but not hoods.
I've got a new theory of going out (here) for 1/2 to one hour in a 3/2 suit with boots, and being able to surf better than going out for 2-3 hours in a rigid old 4/3 and not surfing that well. Having said that.... my 4/3 is pretty crap, so maybe a 4/3 ebomb with E3 would make a truckload of difference!
