Hi,
I was just wandering what everyone considers as their surfing essentials, and what they take them to the beach in.

i tend to take;
wax
combe
fin key
spare set of fins
sun block/cream
ding repair kit(solarez)
wetstuit cleaner/disinfectant

i tend to keep losing all of these though as i dont really keep them in anything. i should really find a tin or something to put them in. Where do you tend to keep all your stuff?

I have a plastic bucket called a trug for the wet stuff and heavy duty zip local bags or Velcro bags for stuff and then aclear plastic lidded box all this is new as I get older, previously the floor of the car was good enough, usually every could be found under one of the seats.
Doesn't work with carpet and it soon stinks

toj,
you've made a good list of things you bring, but I didn't see that a surf board is included!

About what to carry all the small stuff in: I use a plastic tote box that has a snap-on lid (Example: http://www.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-Gallon ... B000KKOFKQ).

I carry my wetsuit in an Ikea store blue tarp bag (Example: http://www.amazon.com/IKEA-LARGE-SHOPPI ... 286&sr=8-2). I like when the wetsuit is wet because it gets exposure to air. This reduces the rate that stinky bacteria grows.

I always keep a spare leash in a cubby hole in the back of my SUV, too. It makes me really mad to find out I'd left my leash out of the plastic tote box. The spare leash has been a big help a few times.

Good point about the surfboard, but i thought that was a given. all in all i nearly find it best to take everything double, because you jsut know that the one thing that you have forgotten will give up and then your stuck.

like Jaffa....aside from the board I throw everything I need in a big plastic bucket. All the wet stuff ends up back in the bucket after a session... keeps the carpet etc in the car from getting wet & smelly.

here's what I put in:
wetsuit
towels
booties
gloves & hood (only spring or fall when it's cold)
sunblock
leash
screwdriver (always in my car anyway due to my work - have used on a couple of occasions for center fin set screw (I have a longboard))

I don't bother with wax & comb... I check the wax & re-wax if necessary before leaving the house.
