Fiberglass surfboard storage, any tips?

Hi,

I'm thinking about buying a surfboard. The fiberglass one. But the main problem is that to surf, I have to go to another country. I think I can do it 1 or 2 times a year for sure, but all the rest of time I have to just storage it. Are there any tips for storing fiberglass board? Is it gonna turn yellow and become heavy or something like that? Or I can theoretically storage it for a years without any signs?

Thank you.

Out the sun, and out the way, it'll be fine.

DBBB's advice is simple and to the point. You might want to pop it in a board bag to protect it from possible dings, just in case.

So, am I right, if board isn't affected by sun or water and is kept in good conditions, it won't turn yellow and so on and it will be as new for ages?

A surfboard should be kept where you live - in the house, damp free (as much as possible) and not moved around thus avoiding damage - simple as that.
