Leash length

What leash length would I need for a 7'10 board? 7 0r 8? or longer. thank you

The rule of thumb is get one about the same length as the board or a little longer. For that board, I'd go with the 8'.

i suppose it also depends on what you are comfortable with. I know a few people that surf on 8ft boards with a six foot leash. i have a nine foot ocean and earth leash on my 8ft bilbo and my other half has a 7.4 also surfs with a 9ft leash. if you can afford to try out some different ones that might be best. but an 8ft would be best maybe even a 9ft.

Shortboard Leash Size:
Usual surf conditions: Max Length = maybe six inches at most hanging over the nose of your board.
Big surf conditions = a couple of feet longer than your ‘board .

In bigger surf on my 6’2 board I swap my usual 6’6” leash for an 8’ leash :ninja:
