Hey,
Has anyone tried putting auto vinyl graphics on a board?? I have done many on cars, and they are very cheap, go on easy, and they have just about anything you can imagine, And the best part is if you get sick of them or want to change them, just brake out the hair dryer and they come right off, I know a lot of people paint them on but I have no artist in me, so it seem like a good way to go, Just a though, any feedback would be great.. Thank-You :D :D :D

many people use stickers on their boards of their sponsors etc, so why not? or do those vinyls use any special kind of glue?
i would be careful with the hair dryer though :D

With your posts so far, it seems you're pretty keen on pimping up your board poolman10

Ya, I have never really pimped up one, I am now 45 years old, so I am trying to get a board I like, and make it cool, And as far as glue, the vinyl has the adhesive on it, I always use 1 or 2 drops of dawn in a spay bottle full of water, I mark the surface were the graphic will go, then spray the surface with the soapy water, and peel the back off the graphic and apply, then squeegee all the water out from under the graphic, That's It, I see a lot of them on fleebay say to dry apply them, I have done it that way, but it is much harder... :D

I have seen lower quality decals come off in the water, but the high quality decals seem to stay on. If you put them on the deck of your board make sure all the surf wax, and wax residue is cleaned off for a good bond.

Ya,
The board I want to put it on is still in the box, So no was there, I really think the worst thing that would happen is it would start to peel, then I wold just break out the hair drier and take it off, Thank-You for the input.... :D :D

I like it! If you put it on your surfboard take a picture and show us the finished project. Where do you get the auto vinyl graphics?

That looks like a perfect size for a board graphic.
