Wetsuit question (probably a stupid one!)

Postby sarahjayne » Sun Oct 16, 2011 8:39 pm

Hey so as the title suggests i will more than likely look daft after asking this but still  ...when looking at the size chart for a ladies wetsuit, where it has the chest measurement, does it mean the measurement you'd be if you measured with a tape measure, or the measurement you'd take in like bra sizes? so if in a bra if i take a 34, which (for anyone who doesn't know) means it's 30" round on a tape measure.. if it says 34" chest does that mean it's gonna be right cos its the same as bra sizes or gonna be 4 inches too big cos it goes off the actual measurement? :| i know it probably sounds stupid but i'm really confused lol and don't want it to be wrong!

Hi Sarah, and thanks for sharing! ;)

Wouldn't it just be easier to call a store that sells wetsuits? I bought mine over the phone after some discussion (and no, I don't have boobs  ) but got the perfect fit!

It's the tape measurement. A 34" chest would probably be to big. I'd always recommend trying on a wetsuit before buying if possible. A decent fit is so important.
