Shortboard ding repair question - fibreglass

Hey,
I'm Rob, I'm 15 and I am a bit of a newb to board repair- I have never done it!
However I have used 2 part epoxys and fibre glass kits.
I am handy and I am always making things, so I figured I would learn how to fix my board
I have searched videos on youtube, and that is the extent of my knowledge.
I have a 6'5" shortboard made by black and white in Cornwall
It has 2 major (need repairing) dings and a few other little small ones.
The major ones are one in the nose and one in the rail near the tail.
I have sanded them with 60 and 120 grit paper, and removed all broken glass.
What I need to know:
1. What is my board made from? I have attached some pics. I have been told by a mate at school that it is a fibreglass board.
2. What is the foam? I do not want to use the wrong board repair kit because I have heard it will eat away the foam.
3. What products should I buy? I understand that there is a product called solarez which is for smaller dings (smaller than mine) And for larger dings you fill them, then apply a glass mat (6oz or something) and resin.
I found this kit,http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DING-ALL-SURFBOARD-REPAIR-KITS-STANDARD-EPOXY-SUPER-/130543003858?pt=UK_Surfing&var=&hash=item641f69d106 would it do the job, and is there a cheaper alternative?
4. Where can you buy these products? I don't really want to spend more than £10-15.
5. Could I use a regular fibreglass repair kit for boats etc? I am assuming not, but I thought I would ask because I have one.
My mate told me to take it to a repair place. However I get a sense of achievement when I fix or make something, and I would like to repair it myself, to add a skill to my list.
I need this fixed by next wednesday if possible because I am going surfing with school then, so a quick reply so I can get the kit by the weekend would be great!
Here are the pics of the board:
