i was thinking about getting the XCEL 3/2 OS-zip from my local shop. it's on sale for 25% off. then i found online that the 3/2 Infiniti X-Zip, X-Zip X-Flex, and Infinity X-Zip Comp are all also on sale online. Are these all older suits which would explain the sale price? I'm looking for something around 200US. All four options are close to this, with the xzip xflex being closer to 100US.
Can anyone provide a recommendation?
Many thanks

The
Infiniti series Xcel Wetsuits are great. I wear the 5/4/3 Infiniti X-Zip 2 and it is a solid cold water wetsuit with glued, blindstiched, and taped seams. I would get the 3/2 Infiniti X-Zip wetsuit if you are looking for a good 3mm wetsuit. Sometimes when the new model wetsuits come out, the surf shops discount the older models to get rid of last years model and get the new models in.

Xcel makes great suits. I surf in socal where we don't have large water temperature fluctuations but still have some seasonal variation. I have an infiniti xzip 3/2 that I use for most of the year (usually for water temp 60 to high 60's). Very warm (love the bamboo lining) and very flexible. For winter when our temps can be high 50's I use a 4/3 infiniti dry lock and it's very toasty (don't need booties or gloves even in the 50's), although of course less flexible than the 3/2.
I agree with tony and would spend the extra money and get the infiniti xzip. Don't go cheap on the wetsuit, you'll use it for years and a comfortable surfer is a happy surfer.
