So I got an infiniti 5/4/3 xzip2. Gotta say I'm not that impressed. Is it being a mong and missing something or is it just accepted?

When i'm in the water it flushes across my chest and down my neck. If i just float in the water I can feel the water across my chest. I've tightened the cord across the left arm but it still happens

Is this the norm?

Wow, do you develop wetsuit problems.
Lets talk a little bit about that, they are wet suits after all and some water entry is usual. getting a really good fit is the way to go as then the water entry is minimal.
If you liked the Ebomb why not stay with what works for you!.
And the zipper problem, never ever use an oil based product on the zips or what ever oil dissolves rubber and the area where the stitching meets the zipper would break down quite quickly.
There are graphite rubs and silicon sprays that may help in future.
I'd go to a surf store and try on wetsuits get an idea of what you like and then maybe if you can get exactly the same on ebay buy it . But I'd support somebody local who you feel good buying from.
IMO Cheap ain't necessarily best, and neither is expensive, personal hands on choice is the way to go! Then you know exactly what you are getting

bernard: "Is this the norm?"
billie: "that doesn't sound right for a chest zip to me. Yeah, you get a little water in through the neck, but nothing like the quantity experienced with back zip in which water enters neck and back. My buddy with his new XcelInfinity dry lock front zip (4/3) gets almost no water through neck and chest. Ditto for my Quiksilver Cypher chest zip (3/2)."

I also have an Xcel 5/4/3 X-zip 2 and I get very little water through the neck and chest zip. I think this wetsuit is one of the best designed wetsuits for cold water! I have worn a lot of different wetsuits over the years. I would say like already was said above, check the fit and make sure your wetsuit fits snug. You can also check the inside taping, seams etc. All wetsuits do get some water inside, but you should not be getting water continually flushing in. Get an Xcel size chart and see if you have the right size.

i bought myself the new e.bomb pro with the chest zipper... and i can only recommend it...
first time i went out with it, i felt (litteraly) dry until the moment i wiped out the first time and got tumbled...
and then just minimal entry at the zip and the neck...
compared with a back zipper, it realy is a lot better imho...
as others said before, maybe its the fit... mine is ultra snug and i am all good...

I had the same problem but it was the sizing - i tryed on in the shop a Xcel infintly ML and L went for the large coz it felt more comfortable and wasent as tight as the ML - when i came to duck dive the suit badly flushed through the neck and the suit filled up with water - if the neck is not tight enuf they have no adjustment like a back zipper and flush
