I want to buy a surfing camera to record me and my mates surfing. Does anyone know of a good camera to get? I don't want a massively expensive one, but one that is pretty good for what it does?

Thanks ! :)

I just got a LUMIX 14.1 megapixel, thing is awesome. Used it at home, nicaragua, and hawaii in the past few months and the shots are great. HD video comes out really well too, cost like 250 way better than the go pro cameras which are like a hundred. no case it is waterproof as is up to 33ft i strongly reccomend this camera

I agree with Mike, I have the Panasonic Lumix TS2 and it is a really great camera. A newer version will be available very soon which will be rated for 40 feet and will have full HD as opposed to the (HD Lite) on my TS2 which works great as is. After having broken the Olympus 1050SW and a couple Lumix TS1's (only rated to 10 feet). I can now say the TS2 will hold up in heavy surf. Also for carrying it I highly recommend the wrist shot by Golden Hour http://www.goldenhourcompany.com

If you have a camera already, u can just buy a case in which you can put your camera, so that the water won't touch the camera... Saves a lot of money.
But if you don't I agree with the others and just buy LUMIX 14.1 megapixel.
