So i went surfing the other day, and my gloves and booties still arent dry.
Its been 3 days since i went out. Its not necesarily a problem because i dont plan on going surfing again till next week, but they still feel as wet as they were when i first layed them to dry.
I have the gloves standing straight up and the booties hanging upside down. Theyre in my basement which can get moderatly cold at some points.
Just curious if theres anything i might not be doing that I should be to help accelerate the drying process of them
Much respect for the knowledge you give
one love

have you tried turning them inside out as the outside layer will be dibritely fairly waterproof to prevent windchill so they wont dry well

thats a good idea, but i highly doubt ill be able to turn the booties inside out.
theyre 7mm cuz im up in new york where it gets mad cold. I think i can do it with the golves though.
i feel like id have to put too much force into turning the booties inside out that i might break something.
but ill defintaly give it a shot. thanks brother

yeh i carnt turn my booties insideout so there nearly always damp but it works with the gloves, my gloves are 5mm cos its pretty cold surfing in the ne of england too. you could try what i used to do with wet shoes when i was a kid which is stuff them with newspaper.

yea i turned the gloves inside out and they were dry by morning. I moved the booties and gloves into my room and out of the basement where its warmer and they seem to be drying up much faster
ill defiantly try that newspaper idea next time theyre wet
thanks for the wisdom man

We use these electric dryers in my house (the white one):

We've got two of them and they work great. There is a propane version, too, if you are camping.

Hi purplevinyl09,

Try the old school wet shoe technique. Stuff them with newspaper. Swap the wet out for dry a couple of times or more depending on how wet they are. Newspaper sucks up the dampness like crazy. If you can put them in a warmer spot in your house it will dry out way faster. With the gloves I try to prop open the opening to get more air in to them too.

2nd the news paper... and yeah of course they won't dry in a cold/damp environment.

outside of that... stick em under a radiator. (not on top)
