Which surfboard?

Okay, so I have a 7'2'' NSP funboard which I am learning to surf on currently, but I am finding turning hard, and also the board is very heavy. The board isn't even mine, it's my friend's old one, so it's not as if I would waste money on buying a new one. My dad has a 6'6'' shortboard but it's very dated and old, he got it over 10-15 years ago. I don't know whether I should buy a minimal, or just stick it out on my NSP? I have my allowance and christmas money saved up to around the £200-£300 mark, and I would be looking for a minimal around the 6'10'' length, as I am a small girl, 4'11'' and 90lbs. I found a Hawaiian Soul 6'10'' surfboard for £275 and I really like it, but I don't know if Hawaiian Soul is a good make? I can't find any proper imformation about them on the internet. I also found an Escape Surfboard's 6'10'' minimal for £285 which I don't like as much, but they are local shapers where I live. (Cornwall)
If you know anything about the two makes/boards above please tell me.
Do you think I should stick with my friends NSP, or use my Dad's Fluid Juice 6'6'' or buy a new minimal? Do you know about any good minimals for me?
Thank you for your time.

Hi Cornishsurfer, there are a number of surf shops in Cornwall so I' d go and have a look and see if a new board suits your budget........ There are some different boards in the Global surf industries set that might fit your needs. But before that try your dad's board to get another perspective.
At you size your certainly don't need a heavy board, the minimal or fun board with a little volume could be good for you spend a little time hunting through the shops hey if your father is a surfer take him with you.
A family that can surf together great stuff. Do a double deal you and Dad buy new boards!
go simple and basic at first!
