*lucky* ding
Posted: Thu Dec 16, 2010 12:09 pmk, so I just got an aloha 6'4 af1pro and took it out a couple of days ago. got pitched off a wave and sensed something was wrong, felt something hit my leg and pulled my entire fin out of the water: no breaks, just some deep gouge marks in the tabs where the screws were: somehow my fins got ripped out. 
anyway, I think when I stacked I accidently stomped the board or something, because there was a tab-shaped ding riiiiiiighttt next to my fin plug. guys at my surf shop reckon I was lucky
and said they didn't need to do anything and I could fix the ding myself. I think I sealed it up alright with some ocean earth solacure but I am concerned- the ding happened right on the edge where the fin plug joins the deck. is there anything I should check before I take it out this weekend? dont want any leaks or whatnot.
