Surfing Waves

Hi guys, would like your feedback.

I tried the XCEL drylock 4/3 size LT and it fit well in length and comfort. There was a little bulge under the armpit. I tried the smaller size, the MT, and although length was very good in arms and legs, i felt some tension when lifting the arms or putting my chest out. I am not sure if in the water or after wearing a couple of times, it will give in, and stretch a little. What do you think?

I also tried the Rip Curl F-BOMB 4/3 in LT. Length was very good and felt snug, yet comfortable overall, except when lifting the arms. There is some tension when I lift the arms. I tried the other size, XLT and was way too big.

Is it normal that there is some tension when lifting the arm, and it will stretch once it goes in the water or I wear it a couple of times?

Different manufactures (and models) will give different cuts for their suits. Choose which ever fits best.. stretching over time doesn't really happen so if its a snug fit it will stay that way unless it gets torn/nicked//damaged in that area.

My wetsuits all fit snug when they are new. I find when I paddle out just getting them wet makes a huge difference in the stretchy material as it seems to expand a little when it is wet. The problem I have with getting them a little big is that they will hold extra water. I prefere the snug fit. Maybe they do not get bigger but they definetely break in some after time. Check the manufactuers size charts and start there. I will say trying them on is the best method. You also do not want it so tight that it is uncomfortable and over stretching the seems. But you do want a nice snug fit. You will have to make the final decision.Try to make the right choice because after you purchase the wetsuit and get it wet, it is now a used wetsuit. The shop can't sell it as new anymore, so you will most likely have to keep it or sell it. If you have a friend with a similar size ask if you can try it out before you buy one. You might also be able to rent one from a surf shop before you make your purchase.
