Hi guys...

What sort of application do you think this board would be good for? Big wave board, big guy short board, works in smaller surf? Opinions please...

7'6" x 21.5 x 2.75

"slightly pointy mini-mal"?

Hard to tell without all the dimensions and a photo of the rocker.

Assuming its fairly wide and thick, looks like a mini-mal with a nod towards performace.
Would go well in small surf, or for a big guy.

was thinking it resembled a mini-mal, but it's a bit narrow, don't you think?

Umm it is a bit..... my mal is 7'6 X 20" X 5"

So mine is almost twice as thick as yours, but umm narrower, and same shape.

I'm sure it would work in bigger surf from look of the thickness as maybe could duck dive it. I know at my dimensions I can ALMOST do it...

Anyway, my one can catch small waves kind of easy and bigger ones very well. I'd assume same for yours, best advice is to go out there and give it a go! I know you should be able to be far from lip when you take off on bigger waves and your one would be perfect for a bigger guy ;)

And the shape helps with turns etc as well, I love mine... but moving onto shortboards and see the big difference... And tried longboards, but couldn't turn those big hunk of logs! Kept trying to turn them like my mal and falling off haha

Thats an interesting thickness for that length and width. The only boards ive seen between 4 and 5 inches are sup's, usually these have been over 9ft and more than 22 inches wide.

I've seen boards like the OP has. I've never heard of a real name for them, but I always thought of it as a "fun gun".
