Hi all

I was hoping for some advise. I've got a hairline crack on half on the rail on my new board. I've got no real experience of fixing these.
Can anyone offer some advise?

Take it to your local surf shop, let them take a look and see what they say. It may not mean anything but if its a crack that is deep into the foam blank on the inside it could be problematic if not addressed properly. Dont go off just me though i dont have the most experience in the world. I did take a 6'3 cannibal short to the shop after Hurricane Bill swells raped me hahaha and had to retire that bad boy.

it depends if the crack is right through or not. Some cracks are just on the surface and do not actually penetrate/wont let water in. for hairline cracks i just do a light sand on the area and apply some fiber glass resin on the area then do another light sand and job done. Usually a 5 minute fix.

I usually do the scratch test. I fix it if I can feel the crack when scratching over it with my fingernail. If I cant feel it then I leave it alone. Worked good for me so far.

This. If you can't feel it with your nail and are feeling bored smear some UV resin over it and smooth down with cling wrap.
