Crease crack advice!!!!!
Posted: Tue Sep 29, 2009 9:03 amHi guys, I am in the process of restoring an old stick thats in really bad shape. I have fixed about 9 descent sized dings including rebuilding the nose and still counting!
I could really use some help/advice on what to do with these crease cracks that run across the centre of the bottom of the board (Pic below!). Obviously the nose has been stuffed into the sand at some point and flexed the board to cracking point but has not actually broke the foam at all! The cracks appear to be below the top layers of glass and are barley detectable by fingernail but obviously visible!
Do you think I should hack the glass out all the way across, refill and re-glass or just sand and glass over the top? Perhaps something completely different?
I do not want to take it to a shop and have them do it as I want to finish this beast off myself and give her a new spray job!
