hey bros so here i got a problem with my board...
two weeks ago i just got two dings on it, each one in the extremes meaning tail and nose, so i just though, well let send it to fix,
but went worse. when they just gave it back there were parts without foam ... so now i have no foam inside... they said that they used epoxy resin... and the resine melted the foam and that wasnt their fault WTF!!!
so now we are just cutting it off to fix cause there still water inside and i dont wanna bo back with them...so my question is wich resine should i use?

plzzz help me!!!!!

wasnt their fault glaringly it was - its not that uncommon for a newbie to ding repairs to attempt fixing an epoxy board with fiber glass resin thus resulting in the foam just getting eaten away but if you had it done by someone who supposedly knew what they were doing well.... clearly they didnt

A good rule to follow in most cases -

PU Boards = Fiberglass resin
Epoxy Boards = Epoxy resin

ok thanks a lot i wont send anything to that guy,
well actually he is a good surfer so i just though that he knew what he was doing to my board but it seems that he didnt
he just said that he knew what he was doing...
so do you know where can i get that resin, from internet or something cause in living in mexico and is too hard find out that kind of stuff

most surf shops will carry some ding repair stuff - just make sure its not that suncure crap. Failing that you could try a hardware store. Failing that try foamez.com or another internet site. - from the picture it looks like you have some bad water loggage going on there - might wanna let the board dry out for a few days.

What's insane about that repair is that the person obviously knows what their doing. If they can make 50% of a tail out of just resin and shape it all down like that, they should have known better. Very strange case.

Looking at it again, is the foam still in their, just a weird translucent form of itself; being eaten away? That is the strangest repair I've ever seen.

If you've not done that many repairs yourself. I'd highly recommend the ding repair zine with the 70's looking Wizard on the cover. Seems like a lot of shops cary it, and it's full of great info. The ding repair kit you are going to buy really doesn't have the info you need. Also judging by the size of the project you might be better off just getting resin, hardener, filler, and sandpaper all separately. As the rest of the kits are just filler (popsicle sticks, clear plastic sheets, etc..).

Oh also if it's your first time.. #1 rule use way more resin than you would think to. You can just sand it back down to shape, even if you have a big ugly square of resin on the tip - going down is better than adding more later.
