Surfing Waves

hey all
tomorrow im going to da beach, got my first board

i got this shoes at a garage sale for 5 bucks i think they are for surfing though i dont have wax and here in tijuana, baja california there are no surfshops & dont wanna cross the border to san diego, my bug doesnt got an insurance and i wanna surf in the morning so i cant cross walking

soooooo that said, are this for surfing or just for corals, stones and spiky stuff

They are for surfing. But you'll still need to get your hands on some wax. The rubber soles woun't be enough to stop you slipping.

I am guessing that as they said they couldn't get hold of wax for the next day they were hoping the rubber soles will give grip .. maybe?
