Natural Surfwax

Postby monsieurmatt » Wed Aug 19, 2009 6:27 am

Hello I have been interested in all the natural surf waxes on the market latley and was just wondering if anyone knows what the tree resin is used for in the wax, and do you think bee wax is better than soy based waxes on the market, I am just doing a science project and making some of my own wax and could not find anywhere what the tree resin does to the wax compound

Hey, check out http://www.waveequation.com/ - they make some natural organic wax and have some technical details on their site which may help you!

We did it first and most of the recipes are based on our original Northern Light wax. We use pine resin but any tre resin will do, fresh resin is by far the stickiest but dried processed stuff works, it all makes the resin tackier.
