Mission Surfboards

Postby Rogue_Shadow » Sat Jul 25, 2009 4:38 pm

Hey Guys

Im looking around for my first board still and came across a surfboard make called "Mission"
The guy at the surf shop said they sell really well and hold there value. It wasn't a custom fibre glass board, along the same legue as a NSP and BIC but it seems better finish. For a 7".2 fun board it would cost £250

Is this a good deal? Ive never heard of mission but the board looked a good quality.

Thanks

(Side notes: Im finding it hard to find any decent second hand boards, they are either too small 6"6 or they are Huge and expensive, 9" Board for £450 anyone?)

Not sure on the Mission boards but Second hand boards are out there, you just need to look hard and pretty much be on ebay all the time.lol

I managed to pick up a custom made 7"4 board in great condition, few minor dings here and there for £130.
Never been happier, had it in the water now a few times and its great.

Took me a while to get a board, missed out on a couple around the same size and price, but they are definitely out there and there are some bargains to be had.

Hey Nick
After shopping around I have learnt why there are NO second hand 7"+ boards in Cornwall
Basicaly, according to about 3 surfshops (who gave me the same story)
The surf Schools buy the second hand boards so that there students can try them out after being on a foam board.
They then can sell that board to the learner who is now used to and loving the board.

Soooo...Im finding the best deals for New boards

As for Ebay and that secondhandboard site. Really great sites and amazing boards for sale
But they are too far away from me and any postage costs quickly outweights the bargin board price.
Grrr'ness
Here is my progress for my board hunt anyway
