Board Dilemma. Please Help!

As I was cleaning out my garage I found my dads old surfboard, it is from the late sixties and is of the maker Lair Jai (whom I can't find any where on the internet) It is a 9'6'' board with some dings and wear to it, but other wise is in pretty good condition.

I would really like to get into surfing; however, I think this board is too big and heavy for me. I am a 5' tall girl and i can barely reach my arms around it to carry it which is more of a problem than that it's a little bit heavy. I think the best idea is too sell my dads and use some of that money to buy a cheaper used board that is smaller and lighter. Does any one know what I should do, a ballpark of how much the Lari Jai is worth, or where I could find out? Also, what is a good way to sell a board. I live on the east cost so surfing isn't super popular.

I would really appreciate the help!
Thanks!

Hey Lizzie,

Any 60's board is worth a mint--DO NOT SELL!

Lair Jai is french for "my lair" not sure if you have a local shaper that speaks french or a french board there. You might want to post it in the longboard forum
