Looking to buy a first board ...

I have been surfing on and off for the past two summers.
Looking forward to a long summer off where i will hopefully be able to surf maybe 1 a week, and am looking to buy my first board.
I am 16, fit, 6'0, and about 11.5stone.

I've read around quite a bit but am still unsure which board would be best.
I've looked at Roger Cooper boards (a local shaper) and am unsure whether you would recommend a board like in the link below, or maybe a Bic or NSP.

I'm looking in the region of £150-£200, and am not sure whether I would be better off continuing looking for a second hand board.

Thanks very much for your advice! :)

P.s. link to the Roger Cooper board on eBay.

I've got an 8' minimal from Roger, its a solid board i love it, I'm a lot heavier than you so a 7'6'' would be fine for you, but if you can already surf a bit, it could be worth going for a shorter board.
I would recomend buying Roger Cooper over the bic or NSP any day, they are just beginer boards.
basically its a custom board vs pop out!!
I had the same thoughts as you when choosing my first board, I'm just glad i bought a Roger Cooper!

Why not get a super fish? Easy to use. Lots of fun.
