New Thruster

Postby surfingduck » Sun Mar 29, 2009 5:52 am

I just got my first surfboard in a bit of an odd way...I was cycling in my street and someone had put this surfboard out for the garbage collection. It's not in the best condition:
1. Leg rope's cut off (I can fix that though)
2. Discoloured (just on the underside, though)
3. Dents (not too many)
However it's got a deck grip and is a pretty decent thruster overall.
I'm quite small but I can carry it. I haven't measured but it looks like 6' or 6' 6''.

Do you reckon it'll be OK to use once I've fixed it up?

Thanks! :D :)

pics would be good, sounds a bit old and beat up. might be ok once its fixed up a bit. no dimensions on the board? 6 - 6'6 is a big difference in size so it really depends

It sounds like a goer !

Close up pics of damage would help us to help you out here.

Look at it close and identify all cracks and dings that might let water in - look real close 'cause it might be a good board and it would be a shame if, should you decide to fix it up, it does go good and you do a rush job now you might regret later.

Hi

The board is 6' 51/2'' by 19 1/2''. I managed to clean off the underside, it was not actually discoloured. However there is a crack on the underside and a stain on the front that could be water.

Thanks for your help!
